CrossFit 1864’s coaching internship programme is starting soon – do you have the passion, commitment and drive that it takes to be our next intern?
What is the internship?
Our programme is designed to give our interns the resources they need to develop their knowledge, skill and proficiency in the instruction of the fundamental movements of CrossFit and the teaching of group classes. The length of the internship is dependent on the intern’s previous experience and amount of time they can dedicate to improving their knowledge and coaching skills.
How would I progress through the internship?
This internship was made for the self-starter. Successful interns are those who are pro-active, self-motivated individuals, who ask loads of questions and are the first to seek out constructive criticism on what they can do to improve and take immediate action on this feedback. Throughout the course of the internship, we have put in checkpoints based on a progress timeline. Again, the timing of these checkpoints is not set in stone; they have been put in place to provide the opportunity to touch base on an interns’ overall progress and to ensure the internship is moving forward.
When does the internship begin?
The internship starts at the beginning of March and we will be taking a maximum of 2 interns. The closing date for applications is Monday 15 February.
I’m keen, what do I do next?
The first step is to provide us with your CV and letter of intent. In your letter, we want to know:
What does CrossFit mean to you?
Why do you want to be a coach at CrossFit 1864?
Why would someone want you to be their coach?
What is your favourite and least favourite aspect of CrossFit?
What is your background? (Including education, profession, sports, and fitness)
Send your letters of intent and CVs to firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are successful at this stage you will be invited for an informal interview. After the interview, it will be decided whether to invite you to join the internship program.
Please note: Completing the CrossFit 1864 Internship in no way obligates you to become a part- or full-time employee at CrossFit 1864. Likewise, completion of the internship does not guarantee you a position as a coach.
