How to squat — and why it changes everything

The squat is the foundation of human movement. Sitting down, standing up, picking things up — it's all a squat. By the end of this session you'll understand your body in a way you never have before, and you'll have done your first real workout.

The hinge — the movement your back has been waiting for

The hip hinge is how you should be lifting anything off the floor. Most back problems come from not knowing this. You'll learn the deadlift properly — one of the most powerful movements for building a strong, healthy body at any age.

Pressing — building strength you can actually use

Overhead pressing builds shoulder strength, stability and confidence. You'll go from strict press to push press to thruster — and by the end you'll have covered all three fundamental movement patterns that CrossFit is built on. You're ready for anything.
