Strength and conditioning for BJJ

Strength and
conditioning
for BJJ.

Coached by a BJJ brown belt and CrossFit Level 2 coach, so your training supports the mats, not the other way round.

Poplar, East London · 15 min from Canary Wharf · 5 min from Blackwall DLR · Classes capped at 10

Sound familiar?

Gassing out.
Getting hurt.

You love rolling. But you gas out in the last minute, get muscled around by stronger opponents, or keep picking up neck, shoulder and knee niggles.

More mat time helps your game. It does not always build the strength and engine to back it up.

The right strength and conditioning makes you harder to beat and harder to injure.

How we help

Stronger grip.
Bigger engine.

We use CrossFit as our method: strength, conditioning and movement, coached and scaled to your sport and your season.

01

Strength For Grappling

Deadlifts, carries, pulling and core work for strong hips, grip and posture.

02

An Engine That Lasts

Conditioning that mirrors the rhythm of a roll, so you stay sharp in the final minute.

03

Resilient Joints

Shoulder, neck and hip work to help you stay on the mats.

What a week looks like

A week
alongside your sport.

Two sessions a week alongside your sport is enough for most people. Classes run Monday to Friday plus weekends. An example:

Monday

Strength Class

Heavy pulling and carries.

Tuesday

BJJ

Your normal training.

Thursday

Conditioning Class

Intervals that build your engine.

Weekend

Open Mat

Roll fresher and stronger.

Questions

BJJ S&C
questions.

Who coaches the sessions?

Our head coach is a BJJ brown belt and CrossFit Level 2 coach, so he understands what the mats demand.

Will it leave me too tired to train BJJ?

No. We help you balance your sessions so you recover well for the mats.

Is it good for other combat sports?

Yes. The same strength and conditioning helps with Muay Thai, judo, wrestling, boxing and MMA.

What is the 14-day pass?

14 days of coached classes for £39. If you join before your pass ends, we credit the £39 back against your membership.
