A real gym for
Canary Wharf.
You're surrounded by gyms. Most of them are built around the building, not around you. CrossFit 1864 is 15 minutes away — and it's a completely different kind of training.
Big gyms. Big classes.
Nobody knows your name.
Canary Wharf has no shortage of gyms. Third Space is impressive. PureGym is cheap. Nuffield has a pool. But most people who join one of them stop going within three months — because access to a gym floor isn't the same as having a coach, a programme, and a reason to show up.
The gyms on the Wharf are built for volume. They're designed to sell memberships, not to produce results. When 400 people are paying and half of them don't come, the numbers still work. You're an asset on a spreadsheet.
CrossFit 1864 works differently. Every class is capped at 10. Every session is fully coached. Your coach knows your name, your goals, and where to scale the workout for you. The community notices when you're missing. That's the thing that keeps people training — not willpower, not motivation, but a place that actually expects you.
Train at lunch.
Reclaim your evenings.
Most Canary Wharf professionals rely on the post-work session. Most of them skip it — because a long day, a late meeting, or a crowded DLR home is enough to kill the intention every time.
The 12:30pm class solves that. You leave your desk at 12:15, walk over (or take one DLR stop to Blackwall), train in a fully coached session capped at 10, shower on site, and are back at your desk by 1:30pm.
Your evening is yours. Your training is done. And you'll feel sharper for the rest of the afternoon than if you'd eaten a meal deal at your desk.
Start with the
Beginners Programme.
You don't walk into your first group class cold. Every new member at CrossFit 1864 starts with the Beginners Programme — three weeks of personal coaching that teaches you the fundamental movements before you join the group.
By the time you hit your first class, you already know the squat, the deadlift, and the press. You know how scaling works. You've met your coach. You arrive confident, not confused.
It's the reason our members stay. They start right, progress properly, and never feel out of their depth.

Three ways from
Canary Wharf.
We're 15 minutes from One Canada Square on foot, or a single DLR stop if you'd rather not walk. Most lunchtime members walk over — the 15 minutes is part of the decompression.
