The Intro Chat:
Your personal roadmap.
The first step is a simple 15-minute call with one of our coaches. No pressure, no sales pitch — just a conversation about where you are, where you want to get to, and whether CrossFit 1864 is the right fit.
We'll talk through your goals, answer any questions you have, and explain exactly what to expect from the Beginners Programme and group classes. By the end of the call, you'll have a clear picture of your next step.
We believe in progress tracking and accountability from day one — which is why every member also gets a 90-day goal review. We check in, adjust the plan, and make sure you're moving in the right direction.
What we cover in the intro chat
- Your goals — what you want to achieve and by when
- Your starting point — experience, injuries, schedule
- How CrossFit 1864 works — classes, coaching, community
- The Beginners Programme — what it involves and what it costs
- Your questions — anything you want to know before committing
The Beginners Programme:
Building your foundation.
The Beginners Programme is how every new member at CrossFit 1864 gets started. Three weeks of personal coaching that teaches you the fundamental movements before you join group classes.
You'll learn the squat, the deadlift, and the press — the three movement patterns that everything in CrossFit is built on. Each session is coached 1-on-1, so you learn correctly from day one and arrive in your first group class confident, safe, and ready.
It's the perfect entry point for complete beginners and a great way for experienced athletes to make sure the foundations are solid. You don't get fit to start CrossFit. You start CrossFit to get fit.
Goal Setting Session
A dedicated session with your coach to understand where you are, where you want to go, and build a plan that's personal to you.
Personal Training Sessions
Squat · Hinge · Press — one fundamental movement pattern per session, coached 1-on-1 so you get it right from day one.
Group Classes
Put what you've learned into practice with the community — scaled to your level from session one.
Group Training:
Forge friendships. Achieve results.
Once you've completed the Beginners Programme, you move into our group training classes. Every class is fully coached, capped at 10 people, and built around the same fundamentals: strength, functional fitness, and conditioning.
The cap at 10 is intentional. It means your coach can actually see you, correct your technique, and scale the workout to where you are — not a generic modification, a personal one. Over time your coaches track your progress and adjust programming around it.
Three time slots a day — 6am, 12:30pm, and 5:30pm Monday to Friday — are built specifically for people who work in Canary Wharf and East London. Train before work, at lunch, or after. Your evenings are yours.
The tight-knit group setting helps you progress faster and introduces you to the CrossFit 1864 community — the friends, support, and motivation that keep you showing up.
Progress tracked.
Plan adjusted.
We believe in continuous progress, not just initial momentum. That's why we review every member's plan at 90 days — looking at what's working, what needs adjusting, and what to focus on next.
Because progress shouldn't be left to chance.
